Gravidade Percebida e Vulnerabilidade ao HIV: Revisão Sistemática da Literatura

Resumo

O trabalho consiste em uma revisão sistemática da literatura, com vistas a avaliar a hipótese de que haveria uma associação negativa (inversamente proporcional) entre gravidade percebida do HIV e exposição ao HIV. Foram selecionados estudos observacionais publicados entre os anos de 1998 e 2018. Identificaram-se 151 referências potencialmente relevantes, 50 artigos foram eleitos para leitura na íntegra e, desses, 26 artigos foram selecionados para a síntese desta pesquisa. Em 17 estudos não se confirmou a hipótese avaliada, contra 9 trabalhos nos quais se constatou a associação entre as variáveis. Na discussão dos achados, problematizam-se a operacionalização dos construtos analisados, os limites e o alcance dos desenhos de pesquisa adotados, assim como as implicações éticas de ações em saúde baseadas nos construtos gravidade percebida e comportamentos de risco. Como conclusão, são propostas recomendações para estratégias de prevenção ao HIV.
